Do I have to use all modules?

Our integrated platform is designed to work within the scope of your practice and can be configured to address your custom needs. If you do not need all six modules, we can easily set you up with only the ones that you need. Each module can work independently and will have optimal functionality whether operating independently or in conjunction with the other integrated modules.

What are the IT requirements?

Remedly is cloud-based. This means that you can access its full functionality in a HIPAA-compliant manner from your current internet-connected computer, tablet, or smartphone without the need for a traditional software installation. With Remedly, you won’t need to have costly servers, backup services, or extensive IT support, which helps save you significant costs.

Why should I switch from Skype or FaceTime?

Today’s common communication tools – such as email, text, and video chatting -cannot guarantee that your data and PHI are secure or that records are documented. For example, you will not have a record of a Skype chat. Our Patient Portal gives you the peace of mind that all your communications are secure, HIPAA-compliant, and documented.

What is Remedly?

Remedly is a cloud-based, HIPAA-compliant, all-in-one software used by various medical specialties (such as, dermatology, Mohs surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, cosmetic surgery, and med spas) to enable performing and support of ongoing daily tasks needed to run a successful practice. Remedly also provides extensive online patient engagement through its patented features that enable patients to be consulted online for new treatment or post-treatment follow up needs.

Is Remedly used in Emergency Situations?

If you are a patient and feel that you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 or go to your local Emergency Room. Your providers will review your information submitted online as quickly as possible, but the Remedly online consultation service should not be used by patients for emergencies.

Is my information kept confidential?

Remedly is a HIPAA-compliant application, and we respect and value the privacy of your personal health information. We believe that keeping your personal health information confidential is essential. All the information collecting using the Remedly platform is protected with high 256-bit encryption security. We have spent significant time and energy designing a system that allows for the security of your data. Please see our privacy policy for more information.

Is the Remedly cloud-based software secure?

Remedly operates a HIPAA-compliant web and mobile application. We take our users’ privacy very seriously and do everything in our power to protect private data. Remedly complies with all US governmental regulations.

To address HIPPA requirements, Remedly implemented the following measures:

  • Every page of the web-based application uses High-grade Encryption (256 bit keys) to ensure privacy of patient and provider personal information
  • Patient information is disclosed to and viewed only by the patient’s provider(s). According to the US Department of Health and Human Services, “the Privacy Rule is balanced so that it permits the disclosure of personal health information needed for patient care and other important purposes.”
  • The server, where the patient information is stored and backed up, is located in the United States.

Does Remedly have a Terms of Use and Privacy Policy?

Before using the Remedly service, both healthcare providers and patients need to agree to the Remedly Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. Please visit our homepage at www.remedly.com.

Why are text messages and emails not private, secure, or HIPAA-compliant?

Unlike traditional text messaging and emails, ALL information in Remedly is encrypted to meet strict government regulations to protect your privacy and security.
